[arriscad] query pattern for area?

I have a pattern that I cut a hole into and then altered the boundary by cutting points and re-shaping. The area query is obviously incorrect - in fact it is 1/2 the correct area.

I sthis the way pattern areas report if they are altered from an original condition?
