[arriscad] premature EOF

I believe that it is not reading to the end of the .DR file

Do any of the other .DR’s in this database open?

We have found sometimes that the drawing.DR file has been damaged or truncated or completely missing the lines of code.

I have used other .DR text files to copy the relevant lines of code that represent this specific .DR file.  I do this by opening the offending .DR file in notepad to do initial inspection. I also open another ‘good’  .DR file in notepad, then go about copying the lines of code to recreate the ‘broken’ .DR.

I have seen something similar to this, but unable to determine the steps that have led to the problem.

Trying to open a 1992 project in arris 8.2
I'm getting:
Bad database page format - premature EOF or ERROR

I could open it yesterday just fine. Did not save anything. Using it for reference only - did take some distances. Getting it off backup does not fix the issue.
Ideas?
Which file is it getting a premature end of?
